Documentation is awful as usual (I couldn't remember how to program the remote's TV buttons, 10 second press of the flashing Power button is it). Device is not rooted. There is no power switch. X265-HEVC stutters and isn't watchable. It's probably never going to be upgradeable.
It's cheap, and it works as a TV box for less than $30.
I am writing this after a few hours of playing with it and I am kind of meh about it; that being said it was less than 30 USD so I am probably expecting far too much.
First off, the thing isn't rooted - Rootcheck says that Busybox is on there, but supersu won't install and I can't work out how to get any access to the thing. This is annoying because I use a VPN and it's a lot harder unrooted.
I don't really know what Kodi is, but when I ran it it crashed a whole bunch of time telling me that all the plugins were unstable with this version - So I guess I will never know!
I tried an X265-HEVC video with Archos player, and it was unwatchable - It just stuttered so much it was silly so I guess that's not going to happen. It's a shame because this is why I got it.
For a $30 TV box, it's fine - For a $75 TV box as they claim the original price was, it would be really bad.

Price, fast delivery
Very often hangs up, switch on/off doesn't work
System hangs very often, Kodi, upgraded from v15.2 RC2 (embedded) to v15.2 stable, doesn’t even start (I’ve got to go back to factory reset).
Wondering whether there is going to be available firmware update from v1.0.0 … :)
Anyway – a toy for an enthusiast, who doesn’t care about frequent restarts (just by pulling the power cord out) isn’t 29.90 USD so bad …

A Good TV-Box after firmware upgrade
By *** , May 05,2016
Bug with Remote control in initial firmware.
Out of box has no NTFS support and not already ROOT.
Out of the box:
You get a cheap TV box just powerful enough for H.265 playback.
Hardware H.256 decoding works well (so far).
Its remote control cannot wake up this TV box from sleep mode.
Mouse emulation could cause performance issue during video playback.
And no NTFS support for large video file.
It is OK for $29.49.
After Firmware 2 (released late Feb 2016) installed:
Fixed the remote control issue; no longer need to pull the power plug.
A Good TV Box for $29.49.
Add NTFS support (with Paragon) and be very happy.
A Great single purpose TV-Box for $29.49.
