Four days ago, we get news from Minix, they are planing to release the new TV box NEO Z64 base on Intel 3735F CPU, today, Minix release another new model called NEO X6 which base on Amlogic S805.
Amlogic S805 is a cost-down cpu of Amlogic S802, it is quad core cortex A5 , not powerful as the Amlogic s802 quad core cortex A9. They remove the 4K support, and make the h.265 support inside.
As far as we know, amlogic is good at XBMC support, so seems Minix want to use this low-cost cpu to get some users which just need good video playback.
Here is the basic information about the NEO X6:
The appearance is almost same as their neo x7 mini, and built in the following port:
RJ-45 Ethenert Jack (10/100Mbps)– don’t support 1000Mbps;
Micro sd card slot
USB 2.0 port
System is also Android 4.4 Kitkat, and RAM change to 1GB, still use the 8GB eMMC.
There is no spdif port, so seems you just can use the HDMI passthrough.
We haven’t got the detail price for this NEO X6, but we are told it will be released at the mid of this month.
Update on 23th Sep, we have got the price for NEO X6, it is 99.9 with worldwide free shipping, now you can join our presale for NEO X6 here:
