1.Why can’t I turn on Wi-Fi on my camera? I got ‘Camera Busy’ all the time when I tried to turn on the Wi-Fi.
a) Please sure you are using the latest firmware. If not, please update your camera with the firmware shared in link below:http://yitechnology.com/support/firmware_action/id/5.html
b) After firmware update, please reset the camera’s Wi-Fi (Go to camera’s system setting->Camera Reset->Reset Wi-Fi) and try again. If you still see the problem, please contact support@yitechnology.com to get further help.
2.I successfully turned on my Wi-Fi and I selected 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, but my YI Action Camera App can’t find the Wi-Fi hotspot of my camera.
a) Please make sure you are using the latest firmware, if not, please update your camera with the firmware shared in link below:http://yitechnology.com/support/firmware_action/id/5.html
b) After firmware update, please reset the camera’s Wi-Fi (Go to camera’s system setting->Camera Reset->Reset Wi-Fi).
c) Go to System Setting->Wi-Fi->Wi-Fi Frequency and make sure you select 2.4GHz.
d)If your App still can’t find the Wi-Fi hotspot of the camera, please contact support@yitechnology.com to get further help
3.I successfully turned on my Wi-Fi and I selected 5GHz Wi-Fi, but my YI Action Camera App can’t find the Wi-Fi hotspot of my camera.
a)First make sure 2.4GHz Wi-Fi works well by following the instructions in previous question.
b)Go to System Setting->Wi-Fi->Wi-Fi Frequency and select 5GHz.
c)Check your smartphone’s spec to make sure it supports 5GHz Wi-Fi. If it doesn’t support, please either switch to a smartphone with 5GHz Wi-Fi support or use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to connect with your camera.
d) If your smartphone support 5GHz Wi-Fi but your App still can’t find the camera’s 5GHz Wi-Fi hotspot, please use a PC or Mac to check if it can see the 5GHz hotspot. If PC or Mac can see it, please use a different smartphone with 5GHz Wi-Fi support and try again.
e) If PC or Mac can’t see your camera’s 5GHz Wi-Fi either, please contact support@yitechnology.com to get further help.
4.My YI Action Camera App can see my camera’s Wi-Fi hotspot, but connection always fail.
a) Please make sure you are using the latest firmware, if not, please update your camera with the firmware shared in link below:http://yitechnology.com/support/firmware_action/id/5.html
b) After firmware update, please reset the camera’s Wi-Fi (System setting->Camera Reset->Reset Wi-Fi).
c) Uninstall your YI Action Camera App, and reinstall it from Google Play store.
d) Try to use your Wi-Fi again, if it still doesn’t work, please contact support@yitechnology.com to get further help.
5.My Wi-Fi used to work well, it suddenly stopped working.
a) Please make sure you are using the latest firmware, if not, please update your camera with the firmware shared in link below:http://yitechnology.com/support/firmware_action/id/5.html
b) After firmware update, please reset the camera’s Wi-Fi (System setting->Camera Reset->Reset Wi-Fi).
c) Uninstall your YI Action Camera App, and reinstall it from Google Play store.
