During the last storm, we had all our emergency supplies ready, except for a backup power source. Power outages here usually last about a day, but due to fallen trees and power lines, some people can experience outages lasting a week or more. I am an electrical engineer and I bought this generator because of the need for emergency power.
The design of this generator is very beautiful, the size is very small and the weight is relatively light. Its front panel is very beautiful through which data such as charge level, load and input power can be clearly seen.
I also have an identity as a ham radio operator. I use this generator to power my radio station in case of power outage. When I first got this generator, it was 30% charged, then I plugged it into an outlet, and after just a few hours, it was 100% charged. I once had an 1800 watt heater running, and the generator maintained this load without any pressure. However, after all, this load is designed with a high power, so it will not last long.
I charge my battery using a solar panel. On some cloudy days, it takes about 3-4 hours a day to fully charge. On sunny days, charging is faster.
This solar panel works very well but needs to be moved regularly to maximize solar input.
I am particularly pleased with this generator and will likely purchase another one.
