Hola chicos, Tronsmart charging analysis comes back. It has been some time since our last charging analysis of OnePlus X. From now on, we continues our work and will make more charging analysis for your reference.
Today we will go to charging analysis of one of the flagship Android smartphones —Huawei Nexus 6P .Nexus 6P features a 5.7″ 2K AMLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. For such flagship specification, it is equipped with a 3450 mAh built-in Li battery.
Big battery capacity needs fast charging solution, Nexus 6P adopts the newest Tipo C charging port instead of mainstream Micro-USB port. Although 6P is power by Snapdragon 810 SoC, it doesn’t support Quick Charge 2.0 tecnología. How do chargers juice up a 3450 mAh battery device? Here we test and make a charging analysis of its original charger and Tronsmart C2PTE dual ports car charger. Hope it can help you understand more about your phone charging and pick up a alternative charger.
Aquí vamos:
The specification of Nexus 6P original power adapter:
INPUT AC 100-240V
OUTPUT DC 5V/3.0A
From the specification, we can see the largest charging power of the original power adapter is 15W in theory, and it is made in China.
It doesn’t list information about Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, and after our test, it indeed doesn’t support Quick Charge.
1)Test with Original Nexus 6P wall charger
Total Charging time from battery 0% a 100% is 1 horas y 26 minutos with the original charger.
From the above data, it can be seen from 0 a 54%, the charger only takes 40 minutos, then to 82% in one hour and finally 100% con 1 hour 26 mins in total. Although without Quick Charge, the total time 1 hour 26 mins is even faster than some Quick Charge 2.0 chargers. The original Nexus 6P charger is really fast!
2)Test with Tronsmart C2PTE dual ports car charger (OUTPUT DC 3.6V-6.5V/3.0A,6.5V-9V/2.0A,12V/1,5A)
Also use a Tronsmart Type-C to Type-C cable to test.
From the picture, we can see Tronsmart C2PTE has one Type-C port which supports Quick Charge 3.0 and one USB-A port that supports VoltIQ charging. When charging with non-compatible Quick Charge 3.0 device, it can charge with 5V/3A, and with Quick Charge 3.0 device, such as LG G5, it will go for Quick Charge 3.0, 18W power in total.
Total charging time is 1 hour 40 minutos de 0 a 100%
Based on the data, it can be seen that in the first 40 minutos, the battery level is up to 51% level, slightly slower than 54% level with original Nexus 6P charger. And to the same battery level 82%, Tronsmart C2PTE car charger needs 1 hour 10 minutos. Total charging time is 1 hour 40 mins from 0 a 100%, solo 14 mins slower than original charger.
So some suggestions for the Nexus 6P/5X users:
1)The latest Nexus phones support fast charge(not the quick charge 2.0 o 3.0, but 5V/3A is not bad). If you want to charge your phone faster, don’t use the old chargers, most of them only offer 1A or 1.5A. New nexus phones don’t come with car charger, el Tronsmart C2PTE dual ports car charger has great review on amazon:
