Fenómeno de falla
1. The brake lever is pulled during riding, but the braking effect is poor or the brake disc rubs against the brake pads
2. A harsh noise is heard when the brake lever is pulled
Check brake pads or discs
Check the brake pads or rotors for excessive wear and replace if worn or damaged.
Check the condition of your brake pads or rotors and try tightening the cable adjuster on the brake lever or the brake itself until the brakes feel more responsive.
Make sure the brakes do not rub against the rotor or rim when the lever is released. If the cable adjuster is adjusted to the limit, tighten it all the way. Próximo, loosen the cable stop, pull the cable taut, and tighten the cable stop to tighten the cable.
Final cable tension adjustments can be made by loosening the cable adjuster until the proper tension is achieved.
Maintaining the brake system
- Keep disc brakes and pads neat and the wheel clean and straight.
- Replace worn brake discs or pads promptly.
- Replace worn or damaged cables and housings.
- Lightly lubricate brake pivot points.
