Problem Analysis and Solutions
Rear Wheel or Engine Belt Falls Off
|
If the drive belt falls off the motor or rear wheel but remains on the scooter, the belt is typically misaligned.
Use two wrenches to loosen and tighten the axle nut to avoid damaging the axle hardware.

Scooter Belt Breaks and Falls Off
|
When the belt breaks and falls off the scooter, it is often due to too much belt tension, a pebble or branch getting caught between the belt and gear teeth, or belt wear.
It is common for electric scooter belts to break, fall off, and get lost on the road. If your belt is lost, there are several ways to determine what size belt you need.
How to Choose the Correct Drive Belt
a) Measure the Belt Loop Length.
b) Measure the Distance Between Two Adjacent Belt Tooth Peaks.
C) Measure the Width of the Belt.
Wrap a short piece of wire tightly around the scooter’s drive belt gear where the belt would be located. Mark the point where the wire overlaps with a pen. The length between the pen marks indicates the approximate length of the required belt. You will also need to measure the tooth pitch and width of the sprocket.
