Pls Note: if you bought from us before 15th April, or screen go black after flash this ROM, you need to flash again but a little different step when flashing.
1. After you choose every file, before you click “start all” you need to click select senor and LCD, then click unlock, and then choose HD720 in the LCD option.
2. Then close the note window. and click start all, everything it the same as the method before.

You need the flash tool from firmware 14.03.13 または 02.04.13. You can find these firmwares on this page when searching for cubot a890 firmware. Just follow the instructions given there and here.
I have found an error in 28.04. ファームウェア: the fm-receive is not working. do other have the same problem??
Hornet: ありがとう, this means, that I use MTK_ AllinOne_DA from old flash tool, as Download Agent, also MTK_DATABASE from old flash tool as Factory Database and from newest firmware only enter MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt ?
クリスティン, if I may say one thing.
I’ve just flashed this ROM into my device and I noticed that the launcher is now the TouchWiz, from Samsung. I personally do not like this decision as many of us users really prefer the stock Android launcher. As you said that GeekBuying help with the development of the firmwares, I would kindly ask you to tell Cubot to roll back to the stock android launcher and I’m sure that most users will agree with me.

Repax, you are right. I am crious if others have the same fm-receiver problems. Maybe I will switch back to version 02.04. と 14.03. 🙁

Hello Kristin, all roms have errors. the latest rom has problems with fm receiver. I have checked with both a890 i own and in both roms the fm receiver crashes after adding two sim cards (maybe because of touchwiz launcher). could you please ask cubot engineers if there will be a full working rom/firmware? maybe without touchwiz launcher? thnks.
i will check and asked the engineers improve that.
try with another usb port on the PC, or another PC.

maybe there are some errors, but i think it is way better to see an active development rather then just one firmware and then no updates at all! i hope an update to 4.2.2 あるいは 4.3 is considered…
and guys, it is just a matter of expectations. Cubot isn’t that huge as Samsung to test a ROM over-and-over again. and by the looks of the change logs, they are quite busy so hang in there

My experiences:
ファームウェア 14.03.2013: Bad bluetooth connections
ファームウェア 02.04.2013: No front cam working in cam-apps
ファームウェア 28.04.2013; fm receiver crashes all the time
test with both types (displays) of the phone.
You can tell cubot my next phones will be different brand. I dont get answers at cubot service.
Besides SIM card 1 is loosing connections. I have to reboot to get signal back. Am I the only who gets these problems? Will there be a new and full working update soon?
fm working fine and no sim issues with this version.
