Here is the instruction for how to update the firmware on the lastest MK808B PLUS model<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There are two method to update the stock firmware for mk808b plus. If you still can boot to android , you can use the sd card flash method, it’s easy and don’t need PC to install.\u00a0 Instruction is here:<\/p>\n

step 1: download the latest firmware from our www.geekbuying.com\/geekgiz (just search mk808b plus to find the newest firmware)<\/p>\n

step 2: decompress the download file, and copy\u00a0 3 files(10*k4.zip,recovery.img,factory_update_param. aml) to TF card Root directory;<\/p>\n

step 3; connect your mK808B plus with TV through the hdmi cable in the package, Insert\u00a0 the TF card which contain firmware file to mk808b plus, connect the mini usb cable with OTG port in MK808B PLUS ,and then press the reset button with a small pin on mk808b plus , find the reset button here:<\/p>\n

while you press the reset button, connect the usb cable with your pc to power on the mk808b plus, (don’t power on the mk808b plus before you find the reset button, and press it )<\/p>\n

step 4, check your tv screen, it should inform you the update is in progress.<\/p>\n

This method don’t need bother you to install the correct pc drivers, if you have windows 8.1 pc or mac or linux pc, and don’t know how to install the driver correctly, then try this method.<\/p>\n

Method 2:\u00a0 use amlogic usb burning tool to update the firmware. If you stuck at boot image or you think you totally brick your mk808b plus, you can try the following method:<\/p>\n

step 1 download the latest firmware from our www.geekbuying.com\/geekgiz (just search mk808b plus to find the newest firmware)<\/p>\n

step 2 download the usb burning tools here:<\/p>\n

extract the file:USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.0.140306_Alpha_x86.rar<\/p>\n

and you will get an *.exe file, run it, and follow the instruction,it will help to install the burning tool on your pc.<\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s important step, Make sure your mk808b plus is power off, use the mini usb cable to connect mk808b plus with PC.(use the OTG port in mk808b plus), then use the toothpick to press the reset button(see above photo), and at the same time, connect the mini usb cable with your pc to power on the MK808B PLUS. and then the burning tool will find a new usb device:<\/p>\n
