{"id":7600,"date":"2013-05-27T11:39:02","date_gmt":"2013-05-27T03:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.geekbuying.com\/geekgiz\/?p=7600"},"modified":"2013-05-27T12:10:21","modified_gmt":"2013-05-27T04:10:21","slug":"custom-rom-for-tronsmart-promethues-is-finally-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.geekbuying.com\/geekgiz\/2013\/05\/custom-rom-for-tronsmart-promethues-is-finally-coming\/","title":{"rendered":"Custom Rom for Tronsmart Promethues is finally coming!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi guys:<\/p>\n<p>Finally,finally,finally, we get the custom rom support for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekbuying.com\/item\/Tronsmart-Prometheus-Amlogic-M6-Dual-Core-Android-4-1-Jelly-Bean-TV-Box-1GB-RAM-4GB-ROM-1-5GHz-CPU-Wifi-3D-XNMC---Black-313667.html\" target=\"_blank\">Tronsmart Promethus<\/a>, this custom rom is based on the newest android 4.2 rom i release some days ago. and here is the changelog for it:<\/p>\n<p>1) Rooted with an updated SU and Superuser.apk that works with 4.2.2<\/p>\n<p>2) I have added the Google Play Store without all the junk Google apps!<\/p>\n<p>3) I updated the play store and any APPs that needed it except Search.<br \/>\nFor some reason I cannot update that in the ROM.<br \/>\nBottom line as of May 25, nothing should need to be updated except Google Search.<\/p>\n<p>4) Debloated of a huge amount of crap apps!<br \/>\nThe Google play patch added so much stuff it just had to be removed!<br \/>\nAlso I remove all the other BS bloat in this stock ROM.<\/p>\n<p>5) I have removed the stupid first boot &#8220;welcome and setup&#8221; script.<br \/>\nThere is no reason for it and it just burns up APP space which is limited on this device anyway!<br \/>\nIf you need this thing to setup wifi, etc&#8230;<br \/>\nWell maybe you should not be flashing a custom ROM.<br \/>\nKidding&#8230;.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s NUKED as it should be!<\/p>\n<p>6) As always, I added full init.d support!<br \/>\nIf you do not know what that is&#8230; ignore it.<br \/>\nFor geeks that want to use it. It is there!<\/p>\n<p>7) Gameloft fix. This fixes Gameloft games from crashing to the desktop.<br \/>\nMany of them do not run and crash to the desktop. This is due to a license check based on the<br \/>\ndevice. That is now fixed.<br \/>\nI use the game Asphault 7 or wonder zoo to test this patch. They now work.<br \/>\nSpecial thanks to Christian Troy for inventing this fix. I modded it for this ROM.<\/p>\n<p>8) Phone carrier fix for Google Market unlock (more APPs show up).<br \/>\nFor some reason this was not built in like other stock ROMs.<\/p>\n<p>9) Build.prop edit to open up the Google Play store to APPs that normally say &#8220;not compatible&#8221;.<br \/>\nI am spoofing a Samsung device that will show almost any APP as compatible.<br \/>\nYour device will now NOT show up as a Prometheus device to Google Play!<br \/>\nUnderstand this please.<br \/>\nI also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.<br \/>\nIf you want to go back, just use ES FIle Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop<br \/>\nto build.old<br \/>\nThen rename build.orig to build.prop.<br \/>\nGo into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.<br \/>\nReboot!<\/p>\n<p>10) I Fixed the ugly default wallpaper.<br \/>\nI hope you like my basic carbon fiber look better?<br \/>\nTo me it looks better on a TV screen.<\/p>\n<p>11) I fixed launcher dock. Missing icons and spaces. That is now reorganized to be CLEAN.<\/p>\n<p>I added some bonus APPs:<\/p>\n<p>12) I added fullscreen APP. Tired of that bottom status bar in your way?<br \/>\nWell this APP will help you get rid of it WHEN you want!<br \/>\nNote: On first boot you\u2019re going to get asked for root OK for this APP.<br \/>\nJust agree.<br \/>\nIf you don&#8217;t want this APP. You are rooted so just remove it from \/system\/app\/<\/p>\n<p>13) Ummmm crap&#8230;. I did some other stuff but after 4 days of tweaking,<br \/>\nsorry, I do not remember it all now\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Frown\" src=\"http:\/\/www.freaktab.com\/images\/smilies\/frown.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally&#8230;. SPEED is what I am about. I think you folks will like this ROM for that reason!<br \/>\nI think this is the most tuned ROM I can make at this time.<br \/>\nAgain it&#8217;s been a year since I did a AMLogic ROM and tweaked like I have.<br \/>\nI did in fact spend 3 days working on this.<br \/>\n2 days were relearning 4.2.2 and AML ROMs all over again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><a
