Applying the same form factor as the its predecessor-UM3 with some minor tweaks, Ugoos AM2 turns out an Android stick-PC rather than a full size streaming TV box. This allows the unit to be more compact. It is based on the Amlogic S905 platform, which includes the Cortex-A53 quad-core CPU and the Mali 450 GPU.
Besides, it houses a 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 8GB of storage, avails access to dual band b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. Some custom features include one-click rooting, a file server and hardware monitor. Meanwhile, the availability of OTA update is absolutely a welcoming addition.
As a streaming stick, it's a keychain sized device which connects directly into an HDMI input of a TV. It also needs to be powered by a neaby outlet or an open USB port. Unlike most streaming devices, the Ugoos AM2 has a full web browser. On top of allowing users to browse the web, this device will be able to decode and output 4k videos at 60FPS from any available sources.
