INTRODUCTION
Chinese fresh smartphone maufactor “Leagoo”, combines Leading and Going, has introduced their first work Lead 1 in this early June. Fortunately, I got one, and used a few days.
In the box: a smartphone, a USB cable, a power adapter, an earphone.
HARDWARE
First, let’s have a good look at the specs:
Dimension: 156*76.8*6.9mm |
Weight: 145g |
CPU: MT6582 Quad core CortexA7 1.3GHz |
GPU: Mali-400 MP-2 |
Internal Memory: 1G RAM+ 8G ROM |
External Memory: Micro SD card (T-FLASH card)m max 64GB |
Display: 5.5-inch OGS IPS LCD |
Resolution: 1280*720, 267ppi |
Rear Camera : 13MP |
Front Camera: 5MP |
Video Shooting: 720P HD 60Frame/s |
Battery Capacity: 2200mAh |
Frequency:WCDMA850/2100&GSM850/900/1800/1900 |
It is clear that the hardware is not as good as some flagship handsets, but is enough for daily use (I will introduce later).
I think its appearance must be shown. As Lead1 uses techniques, the metal frame thickness is only 5mm.
The all-glass front is headlined by a 5.5 inch IPS panel, and a silver ring runs around left and right sides. The power/lock button on the right, while the volume rocker on the left. Honestly, the buttons doesn’t feel comfortable, it feels hard when you pressing.
Generally speaking, it looks like a solemn gentleman—wearing dark black clothes—generous and modest. I think Lead1 is more like a men’s cellphone.
PERFORMANCE
As I said above, it is usable for daily use. Well, let us look at the benchmarks first.
Antutu
Vellamo
NenaMark:
Fighter Pilot 720P – play smoothly
Dolphins, 1080P—have some lags, not fluently
DISPLAY
Lead1 features a gorgeous IPS panel, which applies OGS technology.
Here are some test pictures:
The colors are vivid and natural, and even from sharp angle, it still performs well. In short, the display is satisfied.
CAMERA
Here are two rear camera’s shooting proofs.
Honestly, the camera is decent but not stellar. The leaves’ colors seems over-saturated than they really be.
CONCLUSION
Lead 1 doesn’t show any signs that it is the first-generation product from a new company, and it feels solid, performs smoothly and features an excellent display. Though it’s not perfect for you, it fits all of your needs.
It is now presell in Geekbuying: http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Lead-1-5-5Inch-5-0mm-Ultrathin-IPS-HD-Screen-MTK6582-Quad-core-1-3GHz-Cell-Phone-1GB-8GB-13-0MP-Android4-4-2-3G-GPS—White-329263.html
Thank you for the review of the phone, and after reading it, I feel confident that while this phone is not in the league of the most modern smartphones, it is a decent device nevertheless.
I did have a few questions, which I wonder if you could kindly answer:
– Does it support OTG file transfer?
– Does it support Miracast?
– Can I connect a MHL video adapter to it?
I thank you in advance for answering my questions.
