There are lots of thumb drive-sized TV boxes/Mini PC this year.
From the first MK802 to the newest MK808, these thub driver-sized TV box has changed from Allwinner A10 chip to Rockchip RK3066 dual core chip.
And now, there are some chinese tablets has launched with the lastest quad core chip, like Zenithink C74,Ampe A10, so some TV BOX factory begin to prepare to put this Quad core chip on it.
最近,we get a factory sample for the 初め quad core TV box,model: GK802 let’s check it first:
add the board photo –update on 26th Oct.
Compare with the other tv box, this one has the full metal body, has the regular HDMI port, USB port，use the 5V/2A charger, and support external micro sd card.
The basic system information is:
- CPU:Freescale i.MX6Q 1.2Ghz
- 1G/8G
- Build in bluetooth (factory said it will support, but in the sample device, the bluetooth can’t open)
- アンドロイド 4.0/4.1 オプション (sample device is coming with ICS, factory said they will upgrade to Android 4.1 OS when it come to market)
- Wifi b/g/n
but when we tried to test with the antutu, the scrore is suprised us, one time we get 7681, and we test again, it is just 3840 🙁
and another annoying thing is the screen resolution, seems this sample device stuck the resolution on 1920*1032, i can’t changed it in setting menu.
We have reported all of the bugs to factory,and we hope they can fix those problems.
Seems the sample device we get still have some bugs, but it’s glad to see that there are factory working on this quad core tv box.
Hope those quad core tv box can be finished before christmas, so our customer can enjoy it.

I can see that HI802 has tested XBMC and JB4.1.1 recently, and reported good result.
could you please talk with factory and provide us the following information.
– Wireless Performance.
– Full 1080p output.
– Full hardware decoding on 1080p, in Media player + ユーチューブ.
– Bob’s Custom firmware with better tweaks.
– Audio Video Sync performance.
– Google Play.

こんにちは, it should call GK802, HI802 is a copy from us. we are the working on this quad core tv box, and we also post video for XBMC on our youtube channel.
also for your questions:
1 wifi is b/g/n, i will check with other wifi test app and do a compare;
2 full 1080p output, not like other device;
3 need to test that, and post back;
4 はい, we are working together with BOB, and he will make the custom rom for only our’s tv stick;
5 do you have any suggestion for how to test that;
6 google play works fine.
