The H96 MAX TV Box includes a Rockchip RK3566 SoC, a quad core with low-power 64bit ARM Cortex-A55 processors that theoretically go up to 2.0Ghz. No doubt, the RK3566 SoC outperforms its predecessor RK3288 significantly. Besides, it’s a mid-range SoC targeting AIoT applications,availing support for H.265 decoding up to 4096 x 2304 @ 60fps and VP9 up to 4096 x 2304 @ 60fps.
In addition to the aforementioned Rockchip’s chipset, the H96 MAX TV Box comes with 4GB – 8GB RAM, and 32GB – 64GB eMMC. That’s right, it’s probably the first Android TV Box to come with 8GB RAM (DDR3). Running on Android 11 OS, the latest H96 MAX supports Dual-Band 802.11ac, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth 4.0.
