Polycrystalline Diamond PCD Insert
Polycrystalline Diamond PCD material has extremely high hardness (twice that of ruby) and wear resistance and is generally used to make precision CNC cutting tools. It can easily handle a variety of carbon fiber, glass fiber, ceramic fiber, or metal powder-filled polymers. PCD material also has extremely high thermal conductivity (30% higher than pure copper) and an extremely low coefficient of friction, making it an ideal material for extruding hot melt plastics.
