A: You don't need to install a water purifier to the plumbing. This R9 water purifier has a tank, all you need to do is add tap water to the tank and plug it in to enjoy pure water of various temperatures.
Q: What is the material of the raw water tank and the pure water cup? Can I put hot water in them?
A: The raw water tank of our R9 water purifier is constructed from food-grade plastic, while the pure water cup is made of Tritan plastic. This makes it safe for babies and young children to use. It's important to note that neither the raw water tank nor the pure water cup should be used to hold hot water.
Q: What are the dimensions of the R9 water purifier?

A: The purifying water flow is 0.3L/min at 77℉ /25℃.
Q: What are the working power and power consumption of the R9?
A: The machine operates at 3W when the screen is illuminated. After 1 minute of inactivity, the product automatically enters power-saving mode. In this mode, the machine operates at 1.5W, and the power consumption is 0.0015 kW·h.
For ambient water purification, the power is 24W, and the power consumption is 0.024 kW·h.
The JIMMY R9 features instant heating. When no hot water is being dispensed, it only consumes standby power, which ranges from 0.5W to 2W. When hot water is being dispensed, it heats water instantly at 1500W (US) with a power consumption of 1.5 kW·h, or at 2200W (EU) with a power consumption of 2.2 kW·h.
Q: Does the device need to be plugged all the time? Even when it is not under filtration?
A: Yes, you need to keep the device plugged in all the time, even when it is not filtering. This is because there is a UV light behind the clean water cup to sanitize the pure water. If the device is unplugged, the UV light will not work.
Q: Do I need to disconnect the product if I don't use it for a long time?
A: Yes, please unplug the device if it is idle for an extended period. After a long period of inactivity, make sure to flush the device according to the user manual before using it again.
Q: How long can I store the water in the pure water cup?
A: If the pure water pitcher is stored in the machine, it is protected by UV light. Still, for your health, we do not recommend storing the pure water for more than 48 hours. If the pure water pitcher is stored separately, do not store the water for over 8 hours.
Q: What is TDS?
A: TDS stands for total dissolved solids. It indicates how many milligrams of dissolved solids are in 1 liter of water. The higher the TDS value, the more dissolved substances the water contains.
Q: What is PFAS?
A: PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are a diverse group of man-made chemicals used in a variety of consumer and industrial products.
PFAS do not break down easily, and some of them have been proven to accumulate in the environment and in the human body. Exposure to certain types of PFAS can have serious health effects.
Q: What is the reason that the TDS of purified water stays at 30?
(1) The raw water needs to be replaced. Please replace it.
(2) The filter has reached the end of its service life. Please replace the filter.
Q: The raw water has a very low TDS. What should I do?
A: You can test the TDS sensor with salt. Put 1 gram of salt into the raw water tank, then fetch one cup of clean water to trigger the water purifier to start purifying. (You will hear the sound of the pump working when purification begins.) If the raw water TDS value starts to rise after the pump starts working, it indicates that the TDS sensor is functioning normally.
Q: Why is the self-measured TDS not the same as the machine's?
TDS sensor readings have about a 10% tolerance.
The TDS sensor is located after the RO filter. It displays the pure water TDS value after being purified by the RO filter, but it has not passed through filter 3. When pure water passes through filter 3, it will be remineralized, so the clean water TDS value varies slightly from the TDS value measured by a TDS pen.
Q: Why is there a noise when making water?
A: We use RO (Reverse Osmosis) membrane technology. Reverse osmosis forces water molecules through a membrane with pores that are four times smaller than a water molecule. Therefore, a pump is required to push the water through the RO membrane. It is normal for the pump to produce some noise during operation. Additionally, the pump only operates when the machine is producing water and remains silent during idle periods.
Q: Why is the water intake inaccurate?
A: Due to the machine's water path design, when using the precise water dispensing function, there may be a ±10mL variance in water volume caused by small amounts of residual water in the pipes. This is a normal phenomenon.
Q: How to get hot water?
A: Tap the temperature icon on the display screen to select the desired water temperature. The available options are 110℉ (45℃), 130℉ (55℃), 150℉ (65℃), 165℉ (75℃), 185℉ (85℃), and 200℉ (98℃).
Press the water - dispensing button to dispense hot water at the selected temperature. The water outlet light will turn red. Press the button again to stop water dispensing.
Q: Why is the water coming out of the hot water slower?
A: Since this product uses an instant heating method, it requires adjusting the water flow rate to achieve precise outlet temperature control. Therefore, it is normal for the water flow to decrease as the heating temperature rises.
Q: What is the white stuff in hot water? Why is it produced? Why are bubbles produced in the water?
A: These are air bubbles dissolved in the hot water.
As the water temperature increases, the solubility of air in water increases. When the water temperature decreases, the solubility of air in the water also decreases, causing the air to separate from the water and form bubbles. This is a normal physical phenomenon and does not affect water quality, so it’s safe to drink.
Q: Why is the water temperature shown on the display inaccurate? The temperature of the hot water received does not match the temperature of the water I have selected.
A: The R9 water purifier detects the water temperature after heating. However, when hot water passes through the water outlet and fills into the cup, heat loss occurs, and the water temperature may drop. This is a normal phenomenon.
