    Decent phone!

    By Je***s , September 06,2017
    Pros:
Below is my review for this phone alter owning it for over 2 months:
My old SG3 phone had a dead battery that won't charge so I decided to get this phone instead.
The camera quality is great for taking quick photos of food and posting to instagram. It also has built in apps for editing photos and videos.
    The phone is unlocked.
You can play games on this phone and capture your gameplay with the built in gamebar, but keep in mind that you should not spend too long as it will burn your sd card (if the game is loaded on your sd card).
The battery life is amazing and will last you for the whole days! If you want to charge your phone, it also charges pretty quick as well.

    Five Stars

    By Jo***e , August 26,2017
    Pros:
    1) The battery life on this thing is insane. I mean I charge it at night and I'm set for the next 12 hours. Even after constant use. I'm ALWAYS on my phone, playing games, watching YouTube, and scrolling through social media. If you don't touch your phone as much as I do I'm sure you can run the battery for at least 2 days straight.
    2) The fingerprint scanner was an impressive feature I wasn't expecting, along with the mobile manager which constantly optimizes the phone was also a big plus.
3)Speakers are fine, the phone comes with a regular and outdoor mode so if you need it to be louder it can get much louder, plus the sound quality is great.

LeMax 2 - One of the best flagships under $200!

    By hw***e , May 23,2017
    Pros:
    Low price
    Great Build Quality
    Very Loud Speaker
    Great Specs
    Beautiful 2K 5,7'' Display
    IR Blaster
    Great Package And Accessories
4G LTE On US GSM Carriers
    A Lot Of Custom Roms
    Cons:
At the end, few other things as a negative that I can list, no 3,5mm headphone jack, which is extremely stupid, no Android 7 and with the state of LeEco as company, probably there will never be. The battery can be bigger, although the 3100mAH are good enough for a whole day use. And some issues with the fingerprint sensor that a lot of people are reporting.
Currently I am running on the custom Cuoco92 rom and its super fast.

    Overall:
The LeEco's LeMax 2 is probably one of the best phones that you can buy under $200, $189 to be exact. Why most you would ask, the simple answer is, just look at the hardware specs, but there is more to it indeed. First of all not only the phone has a flagship specifications, but it really feels like a flagship, it is fast, it is big with a beautiful 5,7'' QHD display, that delivers very good and bright colors, the phone is very well made in all metal construction and is heavy too. If you are a media person that likes to watch a lot of videos and browse the internet on their phone all the time, this is definitely the phone for you, also the loudspeaker is one of the best I have heard on any phone, it is loud and clear, maybe all those sound improvements and certificates like Dolby HD and Atmos are playing a factor here.
The LeMax2 comes with EUI, LeEco's own version of Android, which is build on top of Android 6.0.1, but the phone is extremely easy to play with and install other custom roms, which makes it even better.
Snapdragon 820 is still one of the best SOC's out there and paired with 4GB of DDR4 ram and 64GB UFS 2.0, really delivers a snappy performance.
If you live in the USA, please read the below information:
Back at the second part of last year when LeEco were planning their entrance to the US market, they were preparing a version for the LeMax 2 specifically for the NA customers, this is the version with a model name X829. Although the X829 has all the GSM and CDMA radios necessary to cover all major US carriers, including Verizon, things a little bit different in reality. My main carrier is Verizon and after me doing a quick research and having previous experiences with other brands, I decided to buy it with the intent to use it on VZN. Long story short, it did not work the way I was expecting, upon SIM card installation, I immediately got 4G LTE and the speeds were great, but sadly voice and text were not working (services that are still carried over CDMA) no matter what I did, I couldn't get them to work, I even made a trip to the Verizon store and asked to see if they can whitelist my IMEI, again no go.
So my theory is that, back when LeEco wanted to enter the market, they approached all the US providers to ask for permission to use their networks with internationally unlocked phones like the LeMax 2, but Verizon shot down their enthusiasm and denied their request and ultimately balcklisted their IMEI series, so now you will not be able to use any of their phones on the VZN network!
So if you are planning to buy the LeMax2 please keep in mind that you will only be able to use it with GSM carriers in the US, such as ATT, T-Mobile, Cricket, Straight Talk, Walmart Family, FreedomPop etc.
