    DELETE YOUR GEEKBUYING ACCOUNT

    This FAQ provides a simplified guide to deleting your Geekbuying account. For detailed legal parameters, please refer directly to our Account Deletion Policy: https://www.geekbuying.com/account/delete/policy. In the event of any inconsistency between this FAQ and the Account Deletion Policy, the Policy shall prevail.

    1. How do I delete my Geekbuying account?

    You can request account deletion in either of the following two ways:

    Option 1 (Self-Service):
    Sign in to your Geekbuying account.
    Go to "My Account > Profile" and click "Delete Account".
    Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm your deletion request.
    If no issues are identified, your request will be processed promptly.

    Option 2 (Customer Service Support):
    Email Customer Service at service@geekbuying.com with your registered email address and a brief description of your request.

    Note:  To protect your account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

    2. What should I do before deleting my account?

    Before submitting your deletion request, please make sure that:
    • All orders have been completed.
    • There are no pending refunds.
    • There are no ongoing disputes, customer complaints, after-sales service requests, return claims, or warranty claims.
    • You have used any coupons, G-coins, rewards, or promotional benefits you wish to redeem (as they will be lost).
    • You have saved any information (like receipts or invoices) you may need in the future.

    3. Can I still use my account after submitting a deletion request?

    Your account may remain accessible while we verify your identity and process your request. Once the deletion has been fully completed, you will no longer be able to sign in.

    4. What happens after my account is deleted?

    Once your deletion request has been completed:
    • You can no longer log in using this account.
    • Your account profile will be permanently deleted.
    • Your saved addresses, wishlists, coupons, G-coins, and account preferences will be permanently removed.
    • You will lose access to your order history and all related services through this account.

    Warning:  Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

    5. Will all of my personal data be deleted?

    We will delete or anonymize your personal data where required by law. However, certain information may be retained where we are legally required or permitted to do so, such as for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legal compliance purposes.

    6. Why do I need to verify my identity?

    Verifying your identity helps us protect your personal data and prevents unauthorized or malicious account deletion requests.

    7. Can I cancel my deletion request?

    If your deletion request is still being processed, contact Customer Service as soon as possible to cancel it. Once your account has been permanently deleted, the process cannot be reversed.

    8. Can I recover my account after deletion?

    No. Once permanently deleted, it cannot be restored. If you wish to shop with Geekbuying again, you will need to register a new account. You may use the same email address, but your previous order history and preferences will not carry over.
