What is G-coin?

When shopping on Geekbuying, you can use G-coins from your personal account to offset the cost of your purchases. However, G-coins are not real currency and cannot be used for general circulation or transfer.

How to get G-coin:

Here are the ways you can obtain G-coin on Geekbuying:

1. Register:
Create a personal account on Geekbuying.com, and you will receive a certain amount of G-coin after your account is activated.

2. Subscribe to emails:
After subscribing to our email service on Geekbuying.com, we will occasionally recommend cost-effective products to you and give you a certain amount of G-coin.

3. Shop:
a. For every $100 (or equivalent in other currencies) you pay on Geekbuying.com, you will receive G-coin (rounded up).
b. The corresponding G-coin will be in the "Pending" state until the product is marked as "Shipped" and can not be used temporarily.
c. When the product status is updated to "Shipped," the G-coin will be credited to your account and can be used.
d. If you cancel an order or return a product, the corresponding amount of G-coin will be deducted.
e. The G-coin policy only applies to retail customers. If you pay for a wholesale or top-up order, you will not receive G-coin and can not use G-coin.

4. Download the App:
After downloading and launching the Geekbuying app for the first time, you can register/log in to your personal account and receive a certain amount of G-coin.

5. Participate in activities:
We will hold events from time to time to give away a large number of G-coins. You can subscribe to our email service to receive relevant reminders.

How to use G-coin:

When you shop on the Geekbuying website or app, you can use G-coins from your account to offset a certain amount of the total cost of eligible products in your order. Here are some things to keep in mind when using G-coins:
1. There is a minimum order threshold that must be met before G-coins can be applied to your purchase. This threshold may vary depending on promotional policies, so please refer to the checkout page for details.
2. You can directly offset the price of goods using G-coins, with a maximum deduction of $20. During specific promotional periods, the proportion of the price that can be offset by G-coins may increase. Please pay attention to our email notifications or prompts on the website for updates.
3. If a product has the "G-coin" label on its details page, it is eligible for G-coin payment.
4. The final amount of G-coins that can be applied will be determined at checkout.
5. G-coins can not be used to offset costs such as taxes, shipping fees, and insurance fees.

G-coin balance

To check your G-coin balance, please log in to your Geekbuying account and click on "G-coin" in your account information. Each G-coin can be used to offset one US dollar of the product value. Please note that G-coin cannot be traded, withdrawn, gifted, transferred, inherited, pledged, mortgaged, or pawned.

G-coin expiration:

1. G-coins have different expiration dates.
2. If you obtained G-coins through a promotional activity, you will be informed of their expiration dates when participating in the corresponding activities. Alternatively, you can confirm the expiration date of each G-coin in your personal account.
3. If you obtained G-coins through shopping, registration, subscription, app download, or other means, those G-coins will expire at the end of the next calendar year.
4. If your G-coins expire before you use them, they will be removed from your account.
5. When you cancel your personal account, all G-coins in your account will be cleared and cannot be restored or compensated.

G-coin Refund Policy:

1. For unshipped orders, if you apply for a refund and it is approved, the G-coins consumed in the original order will be refunded to your account.
2. For shipped orders, if you apply for a refund/return, the G-coins consumed in the original order will not be refunded. If there are special reasons, you can apply to our online customer service.
3. If your order is cancelled or returned after the G-coins have expired, the expired G-coins will not be refunded to your account. You can check the details in your account.

G-coin Redemption Policy:

1. After you make a payment, we will reward you with G-coin according to a certain ratio based on the actual amount paid. However, if you later request a refund and it is approved, we will retrieve the corresponding G-coin according to the actual refunded amount using the same ratio. For example, if you paid $150 for an order and received 1.5 G-coin, and then you requested a refund of $50, we will retrieve 0.5 G-coin accordingly.
2. If your account does not have enough G-coin balance, your personal account will be considered negative after deduction.
3. If we discover that a user is illegally obtaining G-coin by exploiting website technical loopholes, we will retrieve the corresponding G-coin and reserve the right to ban the account. If an account is banned due to a violation of the website's rules, the G-coin balance in the account will also be cleared.
4. If we mistakenly grant extra G-coin to your account due to a hacker attack or other technical error, we will notify you immediately and reserve the right to retrieve the mistakenly granted G-coin.

G-coins can be earned by posting reviews on your purchased items. If your review includes text and picture, you will get 3 G-coins. If your review includes text and a video, you will get 5 G-coins.
